Working hard building a Japanese city!

I finally found a tutorial for adding .package files that gets results and with that I was able to dl tons of custom content I had been eyeing from Mod the Sims and from links on My Sims 3 Blog. I saw tons of really cool Japanese items an that inspired me to build a whole neighborhood from scratch!

Finding a blank world though with a Japanese city feel proved to be my toughest challenge yet, well maybe second to the time I dl'd CAW and tried to make a world (which I don't have the patience to develop the skill). I saw tons of already made Sim versions of Japanese cities but the thing with most Simmers is they buy all EP's and SP's when they come out so most of the worlds I coudn't download (I only have WA, LN, and HELS). I also don't plan on buying Generations, I love the items it comes with but I see no real need for what the game offers since I never play my families really in depth anyway.

I have posted on the forums a request (I should check that at least to bump it) and hopefully someone will take on the challenge. I willing to gift considerably but I didn't mention it in my forum post because I don't want (1) someone who's not skilled at world making doing it just for gifts and (2) someone skilled doing it just for gifts (I do peoples request because I simply love building, generosity people!) and (3) someone throwing up a world that doesn't meet requirements simply to get gifts.

I found a blank world called Unmei no Shima which is nice and what I'm using to build my lots on but I'm still loking for the world that's just right. I'll be posting pictures of the progress since I'm tackling alot of big building projects (I built my first apartment YAY!).

Here's the first set of pictures. It's of the downtown area with all the shops and bars and all those narrow alleys you find in Japan.  I'm alternating between the lots to keep from annoying my self working on the same lot for hours.

This is all located on one 50x40 (I think that's the lot size) lot. I split it in two and built a chain of shops on one half, a narrow alley way in between, and in the front (the last picture) there's two love hotels (google it, I also will not upload this to the exchange since kids are one the sims 3 site, even though design of my hotels are pretty innocent) and a clothing store.

You can't see it in the pics since I hadn't built it yet but I built more shops and clubs in the same manner next to this lot. I only have pictures of the club for that lot since that's all I've built.

Expect more update post for my currentl unamed world.

Contemporary Beach House Showing + Download

This is a contemporary beach house that I had been planning to build for a while. It's based off of a house I'd seen on the web. I only had pictures of the front exterior but I came up with a wonderful floor plan that isn't awkward or wasted space.

The main liing space is open and focused on the amazing views. There is an entire wall off floor to ceiling windows seperating the main living space and front porch. The house has 3 bedrooms one of which is converted into an office, 2 bathrooms, front and back porches, a pool, and carport.

Updates and Plans

I'm going to start on my e-zine tomorrow it will be my second issue but the first I post on the web. I'm alo going to redo my blog it looks so boring compared to my fashion/life style blog. Also tomorrow I'm going to do a post dedicated to what I feel is my greatest achievement as an interior designer in the Sim world. here's two contest I'm considering entering as well.

Here are some shot's of houses I've recently built and hope to have ready to upload tomorrow. Also I'm praying that I'm able to upload to the site again.

I'll post one exterior and one interior shot:

Two London rowhouses, no interior shot since it just one crappy bachelor's apartment inside for my struggling artist and her muscian gf living there

More London Rowhouses no interior since I have yet to decorate but I did the gardens.

Not a house but I did create a rather pretty Sim who loves dancing on bar counters!
One of two luxury homes I'm working on inspired by villas in Thailand- this is unfinished since luxury homes are huge and I pay so much attention to detail. The pool is wicked!

A smaller more affordable Thai Villa. Finished and called "The Hope Estate" I just have to change the default picture and upload.

The living area of a modern luxury home I'm working on. No picture of the exterior.

My new favorite house. It looks huge in pictures but its not. Lovely contemporary eco friendly home. Finished and named "The Green Estate"

A small 10x10 eco friendly tree house on the beach, no interior shot. All i did was place furniture and then saved and quit.

It's been soooo long!

Hello, I've lot some followers of this blog which is okay since I fell off the face of the earth!

I had stopped playing my game for two reason, (1) I couldnt upload any home or Sims and I'm still not sure if I can and (2) I had literally no memory left on computer but I fixed all that and I'm enjoying playing again, what a wonderful break!

Also I'm so excited for Sims 3 PETS!!!!! I still have to get out door living and I'm now warming up to the idea of getting Ambitions since I want a few of my sims to be tattoo artist.

Remeber when I said I do an e-zine to feature all my design work. Well I had started on it in Jan and stopped but I have one more story to finish and I'll post but I will post ...nevermind the cover (and all that I have so far is on my external hard drive and I'm not whipping it out). Beside I really want to start on the newer one. I'm currently building a beach front community of Thai styled and decorated Villas.

So I'll post sneak peaks of inspiration, floor plans, and patterns I created for the project plus the link to my studio an case you see a pattern you would like to DL.

All of these pictures were selected randomly and are inspiration for different homes of similar style:

 Patterns:

DL LINK There's about 4 or 5 pages of new patterns so have fun! Also alot of them are Coffered Ceiling since I never really see Ceiling pattterns in the Exchange.

I'm jealous of this....I wish we could do curve walls and stairs in game as well as split level homes without cheats/hacks/mods:

I've been builing alot of London Style row homes that hopefully I can upload, they're on either 10x10 lots or 10x15. Alot I going to do a feature on one of my Sims home interior, it was inspired by one of my favorite fashion designers (Betsey Johnson) real life home! Here goes some sneak peek shots:
